Following the heavy rains that hit Kinshasa on April 4, 2025, causing severe flooding and significant material damage in several neighborhoods of the capital, EquityBCDC expresses its solidarity with the affected families.
In response to this humanitarian emergency, the bank provided support to the city authorities through an in-kind donation handed over to the Kinshasa Governorate, aimed at assisting the most affected populations.
In addition to this material support, EquityBCDC, through its network of Equity Afya clinics will also provide medical assistance in the gymnasiums currently sheltering displaced populations.
Free medical consultations will be offered to address urgent health needs, in a humane, compassionate, and proactive approach. “As a committed actor in the socio-economic development of the Democratic Republic of Congo, we could not remain indifferent to the suffering of our fellow citizens. This donation is a testament to our commitment to building a more united and resilient society,” said Willy Mulamba, Managing Director of EquityBCDC.
EquityBCDC reaffirms its commitment to being a trusted partner for the Congolese people, not only financially, but also by actively contributing to the well-being of communities through concrete actions.
