Kinshasa, September 27, 2024 – As part of its ongoing commitment to the safety and well-being of its employees, EquityBCDC conducted its annual fire drill exercise this Friday, September 27, 2024, at its headquarters.
The practical exercise aimed to raise staff awareness of safety measures to adopt in case of a fire and to improve their understanding of emergency procedures. During the simulation, employees faced a simulated fire situation, allowing them to practice evacuation and safety protocols.
Supervised by the Kinshasa city firefighters, the staff participated in a series of training sessions on using fire extinguishers, identifying evacuation routes, and adopting appropriate behaviors in the event of a fire. “The safety of our employees is our top priority,” said Auguste Kanku, Deputy Managing Director of EquityBCDC.
“Through this simulation, we aim to create a culture of safety within our institution. Preventing risks and knowing how to respond adequately in an emergency are essential skills we want to instill in every member of our team.”
This initiative is part of a proactive approach by EquityBCDC to promote a safe and responsible working environment. The bank plans to continue organizing regular training and simulations to maintain a high level of preparedness among its staff.
