Equity Banque Commerciale du Congo (EquityBCDC) and the Province of Kasaï Central have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at strengthening their collaboration for the socio-economic development of the province.
This strategic partnership, concluded between Mr. Willy Mulamba Kabadi, Managing Director of Equity BCDC, and H.E. Joseph Moïse K'ambulu N'konko, Governor of the Province of Kasaï Central, is part of the Equity Group's Africa Recovery and Resilience Plan.
The agreement provides for cooperation in several key areas, including
• Financing and supporting development projects in agriculture, energy, infrastructure,
health and education.
• financial inclusion through the bancarization of civil servants and access to adapted savings and credit solutions.
• Improving financial education for local populations in partnership with the Equity Foundation.
"Our collaboration with the Province of Kasaï Central aims to stimulate investments that can create opportunities for the local population. EquityBCDC is convinced that increasing financial inclusion, in particular through bancarisation, will foster the creation of an ecosystem providing access to finance, energy, education and ," stated Mr Willy Mulamba Kabadi.
For his part, Governor Joseph Moïse K'ambulu N'konko hailed "an initiative that will accelerate economic transformation and offer new opportunities to the province of Kasaï Central".
This partnership marks an important step in the implementation of concrete solutions for the province's sustainable and inclusive development.
